Western States Chiropractic College is probably one of the oldest chiropractic colleges in the country having been established in 1904. At Western States Chiropractic College teachers and students operate under the philosophy that there exist a relationship between skeletal structure and optimum bodily function and health allowing the body to heal itself.
For its accreditation the Western States Chiropractic College is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) and by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). Western States Chiropractic College offers courses at three levels; doctorate, bachelor and massage therapy courses. Although admission to Western States Chiropractic College is on an individual basis there are a number of minimum requirements required of applicants to ensure that they succeed in the program. The minimum standards for admission used at Western States Chiropractic College are those established by the CCE; basic subjects required include biology, chemistry and physics with an average of four credits in each one.
The research centre; the Centre for Outcomes Studies, at Western States Chiropractic College was established in1991 and is a leading chiropractic research study centre .The Western States Chiropractic College became the first to receive research funding in 1994.
